These terms apply when you use thepentestindex.com (“the site”), operated by Kozi Publishing LLC.
An informational service
The site provides information about third-party penetration testing offers to help buyers prepare. It is not legal, compliance or security advice. It does not perform, authorize or certify testing, and it does not promise that any report will be accepted.
Third-party terms change
Providers can change their offers, prices and terms at any time. Each fact on the site shows its source and the date it was checked, and it may have changed since. Confirm current terms with the provider in writing before you rely on them.
Checklists and Purchase Checks
The scope checklist and the questions on this site help you prepare a conversation with providers. They are not a complete scope, a contract or a quote. A Purchase Check finding applies only to the illustrative brief and the evidence it names.
The Find My PenTest Match tool produces a preparation checklist. It does not make a provider introduction, verify authorization or determine that a proposed scope meets your obligations.
Responsibilities
You decide what to buy, confirm requirements with the customer, auditor or team that will rely on the report, and make sure any testing is authorized by the owner of the systems to be tested. Providers are responsible for their own scoping, contracts, authorization checks, testing and deliverables.

Permitted use and citation
You may read the site, print pages and share links for your own buying decisions. You may quote short passages with attribution to The PenTest Index and a link to the page. Republishing the comparison data or substantial parts of the site’s text requires written permission.
You may cite our findings, reference provider facts and publish your own analysis. Identify the specific page, its relevant check or publication date and the scope of the finding. A citation does not imply that The PenTest Index endorses your organization, product or conclusion.
Datasets and downloadable assets may carry a separate license or reuse notice. Follow that notice when reusing the asset. A permission stated on a research page or attached to a dataset is not withdrawn by these general terms.
Unless a separate license permits it, republishing substantial portions of our original text or other copyrightable material requires written permission. Nothing in this section limits uses permitted by law or claims ownership of third-party facts, public information or your independently created analysis.
Original material
The operator holds rights in the site's original wording and copyrightable presentation. Provider statements remain the providers' own and are quoted or summarized with attribution. Provider prices, published terms and other facts do not become our exclusive property because we report them.
Third-party names
Company and product names belong to their owners. They are used to identify the offers being compared and do not imply affiliation or endorsement.
Commercial relationships
Commercial relationships, when relevant, are explained beside the affected links and in how we make money. A compensated link is not a guarantee of testing quality, buyer fit or acceptance of a report.
Changes
These terms may be updated. When these terms change materially, we identify the change on this page.
